Hiya Jayden,

Do you mean if the food hygiene rating is out of date? Food hygiene rating do not go out of date per se. The rating for their previous inspection remains relevant until they receive a new inspection and new rating. The frequency of inspections can vary massively depending on how much of a risk EHOs deem the premises – they’re usually anywhere between 6 months and 2 years. The rating a business previously received at an inspection does not go out of date though even if the next one doesn’t come around for a couple of years.

Let me know if that answers your question! If not I’ll try to help however I can.

Liz 🙂
